How do I wash my pashmina scarf

Pashmina is a fine blend of Indian cashmere blended with silk, so you'll need to wash your scarf by hand. Fill a bowl or sink with lukewarm or cold water. Add a few drops of liquid wool-laundering detergent. Stir until suds appear.

Put your pashmina scarf in the soapy water. Swirl the scarf around slowly to clean it. Don't squeeze the scarf or apply too much pressure; doing so may damage the fabric. Rinse the scarf two or three times under cool running water. Continue rinsing until no more soapsuds remain.

Lay a towel down, and then lay the scarf flat on the towel. Put another towel over the scarf. Press down on the top towel lightly to soak up excess water. Never wring water from the scarf.  Put the scarf on a clean, dry towel. Stretch the scarf out to its original shape, and then let it air dry.

How do I wash my viscose/rayon scarf

Fill a sink halfway with lukewarm water. Never use hot or ice-cold water to clean a viscose scarf. Add a few drops of gentle liquid detergent to the water. Stir the soap and water together with your hand.

Submerge scarf in the soapy water. Allow the water to penetrate the scarf.

Swish the scarf around gently with your hands. Do not twist the scarf while washing it because doing so may rip the fabric. Drain the soapy water, then turn on the faucet and rinse the scarf with lukewarm water. Continue rinsing until the water runs clear.

Lay a towel flat on a table or other hard surface. Place the scarf flat on the towel.Wrap the towel loosely around the scarf and apply gentle pressure to soak up the water. Do not wring or squeeze the scarf to get the water out.

Lay the scarf out on another dry towel and allow it to air-dry completely.

How did Halo2Go start?

Halo2go is a company with a story.  The initial sewers are women from orphanages which the founder, Lorna Bender, sponsored for many years working with www.supportlaochildren.com to provide education scholarships for underprivileged youth. We have expanded to working with the Luang Prabang Deaf Center and include any sewers who want to earn more income for college, their families and their futures.

The initial group of the youth now are teachers or work in hospitality and government offices. Earning a living is hard work - Halo items provide supplemental income for them and their families and transforms their lives. Engage, Empower and Educate!
